Within the Picos de Europa National Park there are nine mountain refuges kept, living history of mountaineering. They are in charge of taking care of the fatigued mountaineer after touring these demanding mountains, as well as the environment that surrounds them.

We, in addition to guiding you to Refugio de la Vega de Ario, will tell you its history, we will show you what it is like inside, how such a unique building is managed and the difficulties they encounter.

Its privileged location, surrounded by mountains of more than 2,500 meters, will allow us to enjoy one of the best views of the Central Massif of the Picos de Europa.
