The guided tour Covadonga Lakes is a 2 km circular route with little elevation gain, suitable for all ages. Afterwards, we will stop at the Sanctuary of Covadonga where you can explore at your own pace the Holy Cave and the Basilica of Covadonga (this part is NOT guided).
Located in the Picos de Europa National Park and surrounded by mountains over 2000 meters high, the Covadonga Lakes are one of the most iconic places in Asturias.
We invite you to discover this wonderful route in a different way. We walk unhurried through this unique landscape, visiting the Prince and Entrelagos viewpoints, crossing the old Buferrera mines, and reaching the shores of Lake Enol and Lake Ercina.

We are local certified mountain guides and members of the AEGM (Spanish Association of Mountain Guides).
As experts on this protected area, we will interpret the landscape of the Picos de Europa National Park, its fauna and flora. We will explain how these mountains were formed.
We will also talk about ethnography, the shepherds and farmers who inhabit this unique place.
We are authorized to drive inside the Picos de Europa National Park, offering comfort, speed and safety in transport, avoiding crowds and long access queues.
We work with small groups, where attention and explanations are personalized.
We will show you unique spots, rarely visited, and you will discover a different way to experience the Covadonga Lakes.
We will bring you back in time for lunch or dinner, so you can enjoy the magnificent gastronomy of Cangas de Onís.

The guided tour Covadonga Lakes is much more than a simple walk. It is an opportunity to discover one of the most beautiful natural areas in Asturias with experienced local mountain guides who know every corner of the Picos de Europa National Park. Throughout the route, you will learn about the history of the lakes, the local wildlife and flora, traditional shepherd life and the unique geological landscape that makes this place one of the most visited destinations in northern Spain.

We run this tour all year round as long as the road is open to traffic.

If the activity has to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control (severe weather, road problems, minimum group not reached, etc.), we will notify you to reschedule or refund the amount.
If you have any change in your trip, you have up to 48 hours to cancel without charge by notifying us by email. No-show on the day, time and place of the activity will result in loss of the booking.
