The Picos de Europa trekking with guide is a high mountain hut-to-hut route through the Picos de Europa National Park. One of the most challenging and physically demanding treks you can do in Spain.
History tells that in the year 25 BC, the Vadinians, one of the last Cantabrian tribes that faced the Romans, sought refuge in the Vindio mountains. Today, these mountains are known as the Picos de Europa.
The Anillo de Picos passes through those same limestone mountains. Technically it is a difficult itinerary due to the steepness of its terrain: endless couloirs, dizzying slopes, dense fog, and limestone rock that traps and saturates you at the same time. This is what makes this route something truly different.
With Asturguías, your Anillo de Picos guided trek will be unforgettable. And you’ll come back for the Extreme Ring!
The Anillo de Picos is a complicated challenge that requires physical preparation, but it rewards you with landscapes of overwhelming beauty, dreamy sunsets, magical forests and beautiful mountain villages.
The Picos de Europa Ring is a circular high mountain route designed by the refuge wardens. It crosses the interior of the National Park, connecting the different mountain huts. It consists of three circuits of varying difficulty, duration and elevation, where each day you leave from one refuge to arrive at another.
Vindio: Western massif (Cornión) – 4 days, 3 nights
Extrem: Western and central massifs (Cornión and Urrieles)
Three Massifs: Western, central and eastern (Cornión, Urrieles and Ándara)
We organize the Anillo Vindio, a fantastic route that runs entirely through the western massif of Picos de Europa. A wonderful and unforgettable 4-day, 3-night trek, staying overnight at the mountain huts of Vega de Ario, Vegarredonda and Vegabaño.
